Serious Game Glitch

I can't even play the game. I get huge masses of black blotches that move and dissapear, and I can see through walls - I'm not even able to tell where I can go. The game is completely unplayable at this point.

When I first bought the game, it was fine. But after not playing it for awhile, (like a month, maybe), everything has went haywire. And it's the same on single player or multi. Also, it boots me off of the servers right away, too. I have a high speed connection and have no problem with any of my other games.

I've updated the game going through start menu and accessing the 'update' feature in my novalogic program. But I haven't updated anything from the novalogic website, under 'general updates.' So does it make a differance if I dl the update at the nova site? Because I just thought it might be the same update.

Try this

1- Uninstall Game Completely Remove all folders and everything

2- Reinstall Game and Reupdate

3- Try the game out


P.s. I had teh same problem on Medal of honor Spearhead i did that and it fixed it for me

1. first do what the other guys said (no need to update trough novalogic site just use your ingame update option).

2. try updating your video card drivers
3. if u have ATI and talking about joint ops problem
make sure u have your antialising off(<-- not sure on spelling o that one) .
4. please provide more information about: what game u have problems with , video card , have u recently changed resolution or played with your video card settings, if u installed any mods
5. Uninstall X ray ..

Okay, sorry about not even telling you guys what game I'm having this problem with - I was in kind of a hurry to get an answer. Anyways, it's with black hawk down. I have the platinum edition with both the original BHD and Team Sabre. Both games have the same problem.

I have changed my screen res lately, from 800 by 600 to 1024 by 768, (which is my max res for this monitor, I think). Also, (before making this thread), I uninstalled everything, reinstalled the original BHD, then installed the patch and updated everything from within my programs. And I'd also like to note that I hadn't installed the team sabre patch prior to having this problem, and I installed it after uninstalling the original, thinking that it might help matters. I was just playing the original BHD for awhile, and hadn't even thought about installing team sabre for some reason.

Anyway, here's just a quick rundown of my systems specs: amd athlon64 3500+, 512x2 corsair, geforce 6800gt, and xp pro.

Please let me know if you need anymore info, and thanks a lot for your guys suggestions.

from what i can see it could be a problem with video drivers or with the update

try installing bhd then ts and then update... dont update bhd before installing ts

instill bhd then after let Team Sabre update BHD after download new update here for Team Sabre then after download it update then game.

maybe not a bad ID reload the drivies for you Geforce 6800 Ultra 256 mb

for some reason files do go bad and it happens some times thats all. mainly Pff files.

i found when this happens i unstill the game totally and delete the game files there maybe a file still in it that is bad so remove the folder totally.

Hey, you're right. All I did was uninstall, then reinstall in the order you gave, and updated everything after they were both installed. Now it works great, and I'm having a blast with my new razer diamondback and razer Xspeed mouse pad. I just got them both today, and really wanted to play this game.

I just read this 'nightmare' problem. I have the Platinum pack as well, only I haven't installed the Team Sabre yet. I'm waiting until I get through the BHD stuff. So far, I haven't had any of the above problems (or anything else, for that matter), but now I'm wondering if I'll run into that stuff. Guess I'll just cross my fingers xxx

as long as you remember to update Team Sabre with it own up, you be ok.

as you instill it the Team Sabre Cd will tell you it need to update DF:BHD let it do it, then after "Download" Team Sabre update and instill it aftewards ok.

Nova in-game update work like crap will not update it at all seat there all day, best download it from their site or from here. then instill it thats it.

basic it will ask for the location of the game folder and dfbhd.exe locate it then start it going.
