Mission Briefings

I was wondering is it possible to make briefings like Novalogic does? With the picture and stuff or do we only have the simple type it in and read it before the mission.

Also I was wondering……people talking....Do you have to use WAC? Or can you use something else. Also how can I get them in the first place? Ex: (Radio) “King 6” (DFLW) Stuff.

Buddy if you read the MEDMAN.PDF installed in your DFX folder ... you can prolly get a quicker reply there.

In your MED (Map Editor) go to Edit > Briefing and type in what you want there.

oh, no you can't do that. Unless you alter the game files and record your own voiced briefings. I don't think Novalogic would like that too much though. I wouldn't try it.

:-0 You can do that? Record your own voice? ...why wouldn't nova like it? its my game. Besides I’m not selling it or anything so its not copy right infringement Great idea man! I didn’t think about that. So how can I do it though?

And if thats not possible what about text writing on the screen? Is That possible.

"Go To Next Objevtive And Kill Enemys"

You can do it. The trick is modifying your files.

I did it with DF and I am sure it is not very hard in DF-X

I am not sure with DF-X...there is something in the download section that will let you do it...it is kind of complicated.

Well the thing is that it would not do much good to add voices since you would have to install all the voices manually.

Everyone that got your map would have to go through the same thing.

The terranova crew has released expansions for DF2 and some other games I think. They have added voices...maybe you can see if they will help?

Hmmm the thing is...It’s I just want to make sure the player has a good idea of where to go. I want to make the objectives appear which I can do with ease but I want to add more to my map then just go to objective.... I want to have that map that everyone says wow. You know what I mean? But if I have to change a bunch of stuff and make other people have to do the same then it really is a not what I want.
