Post IE6 prob

i just cant take this any longer

u kknow when ur downloading soemthing off the net and u get that little message that says something like "open, save, cancel"

then u have that little box to check that says "dont ask about this again" or similar.

well sometime i must have checked this box for zip files and now whenever i hit a zip file download my comp auto saves it in my internet temp folder.

most of the time it says the zip is corrupt when it does this. plus it saves it to where i do not want it to go.

if there is a direct link to a file then i can right click > save target as...

which is no problem but a lot of sites with databases and asp or php links do not link directly to the file, so i have a problem trying to get thses downloads.

ive looked all through IE options and just cannot find an option to reset the option to not auto save certain files. i just want to be asked each time.

from one source i was told that it is tricky to sort out and that a reinstall of IE might be best.

thanks in advance for help

yea but it give you the option also download "normal or dap" and you pick what option you like to use, my upload to ftp to.

don't know if this works or not internet options there is a tap for "programs" in it say "reset web setting" don't know this will reset it for you.
