CDRW won't read CD-R's

I've racked my brain on this one with no results. Maybe y'all will have something.

I've got a Norcent RW320. I've had it for a while and it's worked flawlessly. I've burned over 200 CD's with it without fail. I put this in my new comp as a temporary drive, installed all the drivers, etc, and it works fine except it won't read CD-R's, cd's that it wrote. It reads 'real' cd's fine. Any ideas?

I haven't a clue Doc. I can't get my DVDRW to recognize blank DVD's

Like I said, it works, but I fixed it.

After I took a look at how I wired it, I realized I mucked up putting the cd as master and a secondary drive as slave. Ultimate no-no

good for you i did that many times with my Zip-drive and my DVD/CD some times on the mother broad i seem to get them two mixup

i mostly put the plug to the left all the way to the left side let the system tell it what to do.
