How do you bind the ctrl key for crouch?

Sorry gelmir, you can't bind the ctrl ky, at least not in J-ops.....HOWEVER, not all is lost....actually, it's found...thanks to JJ-ST1, there is now a solution.

JO CTL key mapping SOLUTION - by JJ-ST1

Hey all...
For all of you that have used the CTL key...like I have...for Novalogic games, and are frustrated by the JO CTL lockout, here's a solution for you....

There are programs for remapping your keyboard in Windows.

You can download a nifty, FREE program called KeyTweak at the link below:

KEYTWEAK

Download the program and swap your right CTL key FUNCTION to any key on your keyboard, and assign the substitute key FUNCTION to your right PHYSICAL CTL button. (or whichever CTL key you want to swap)

After you swap these two keys you'll have to reboot and when you load up again, VOILA! Your keyboard will be remapped.

Example:
I use my right CTL key to FIRE my weapons. So what I did was swap the mapped defaults so that my Right CTL key FUNCTION becomes my "/" key (no quotes) in my number pad and made my PHYSICAL right CTL key on the keyboard my "/" key from my number pad. I then went back to my JO remapping page and assigned my PHYSICAL right CTL key (which now has the / function assigned to it) and assigned it to FIRE.
Now it's working perfectly. You can use any key to assign the right CTL function but I used the keypad / because I don't use it for anything in the game.

but what about if u swapped d for ctrl, what about when u want to type? u gotta press ctrl in word for D?

JO is abit like Battlefield, if a key conflicts it wont accept the changes..

Yes mate thats the crux of it.
Its another mindblowing decision my Nova that has no reason that is fathomable.
Changing our basic systems function is what it takes to play the way we want to.

C'mon guys, use yer heads.....how many keys don't you use while doing normal typing?....or keys that don't matter where they are?...how about the 'home' key...or the 'end' key?...or the right or left windows keys?

It doesn't take much figuring out.

Anyway, the application is there for those that want to use it.
