DF:NG Map Contest

umm dunno where to post this, there isnt a DF:NG forum yet. but anyway, i would like to try and get support for this idea over at NovaWorld.

Make sure your logged into NovaWorld B4 you click the link, or it wont work.

Wouldn't it be cool for Nova to let us make some maps and have them released with the full version of the game? Ok lets say Nova held a contest, the winning 8 maps make it into the retail version of the game at launch, this means your maps would be played by thousands of players, in Matches, tourneys and other events.

This would give Nova a huge push with its fans, and shows they care about there customers, I'm sure word would get around and alot of ppl would show up.

Seeing how DF:NG isn't out, the terrains arnt released, there would have to be a way to make maps for it, JO is the same engine I'm guessing, maybe they could release 4 terrains fro DF:NG for JO in an update, that we could use in Nile, i dunno but this contest would be grossly popular.

I also tried to get this done in the JO beta, but Nova never replied, maybe this is our chance to get our maps into a retail version of the game!

Who would be willing to make some maps?

I told nova about an idea to rotate the maps in their servers. Basically take entries and get player's votes on the best 8 to change their maps in the rotation, and do so every month or two. They said it was a wonderful idea, but if you go into LW and play nova, it's still the same maps they've been using since day 1. I guess what I'm saying is, don't get too excited...
