I have to write a paper about technology, literature or sexism. Have any good ideas anyone?

Well it has to be a research paper for english. I am just trying to think of something that will have a lot of sources but that will be appealing as well.

How the hell are you meant to write a research paper in 3-5 pages!!?? I can barely get the abstract of a research paper in that. My endnotes/reference list/bibliography is usually double that alone...

For a research paper of the three topics sexism lends itself the most. Cant really do a research paper in technology for english well, literature is, well, literature, at least with sexism you have a chance...

I am going to do it on Electric cars.

I've already been interested in them. My dad mentioned that. Anywho, thanks for the input. And mike I totally understand. The paper is not very long, but at my school teachers are lazy because they grade the papers not TA's.

I am the exact opposite. I'd probably have trouble with 3-5 pages.. I can't write papers for ****

It depends on how interested and how much you know of the subject. I bet you could write a big paper on PHP scripting

Yeah, it's being put on the spot with boring topics that really get me. My last paper was supposed to be 10 pages on what ethics mean to me... I ran out of things to say after 1 page. At least I am pretty good at summing things up because I got a 98% on it. It also helps that I am going to a tech school where they are a little more relaxed…

Usually with research papers, you are supposed to take a stance on a subject. For example, doing a research paper on universal healthcare in the united states would be easy, because there is plenty of sources for it and against it.

but to research something like technology in general :\ .. you're probably best off doing something like clean energy as a broad subject and researching its benefits and its problems .. which there really isn't any .. which is the point I'm trying to make with the subject of technology lol

Yeah, I think the paper is going to be on the pros and cons of electric cars and why they still are not popular today.

I used to think they were retarded until I saw what the car from Tesla could do.

Last semester I had to do a 5-10 page essay on something to do with the film industry, I wanted to do it on CGI but I couldn't find enough sources so I had to switch it to why we need violence in the media.

Not really, a Research Essay should contain original research and an original conclusion, doing one on Universal Healthcare and essentially saying your for it or against it isnt really a research essay. Examining the current healthcare system and proposing that it be introduced in states that begin with a vowel is research...

well heh i would rather write a 3-5 page paper than a speech for 5 minutes, i have to do one for next week in my one class and i think that i am going to do it on Steroids abuse in sports since i can find plenty of sources on it and plenty of court cases

i can sum up anything in 3 to 5 words let alone pages, but that's not good enough apparently! pffft glad i dont have school anymore.

That's what my friend was talking about. The thing is, in a research paper they want you to be really deap into the subject matter, they think that you can't effectively describe it in less pages.


Anyway this research paper is exploritory, it is not a persuasive essay. I just will be showing what the benefits and the downsides of electric cars are, the reader then forms their opinion.
