sound disappearing

sometimes my sound disappears and i have to restart my comp to fix it..

does it just vanish at some stage when the computer's on? Mine does this all the time and it annoys the hell out of me. I can usually tell that the sound is going to die because the sound crackles or is distorted. Usually, a violent assault against the computer solves it, OR you can be nice and carry out a million restarts before the problem solves itself. Well thats what i have to do to my computer, things might be different on yours. As for the cause, no idea.

i find that when i am in DF: Xtreme i ride that dirtbike i respawn the sound for it go dead? but when i in the air going flying up high there is sound (engine ripping high) for the bike, but when i go riding on the ground level no sound at all. only happen when i get kill and respawn back

you may have to update your bois and chipset basic it flash it may help to fix these things.

do this you may have to re-instill your modem, vido card, Tv-card as will your audio drivers.

there maybe updated drivers/software for your audio card/mother broad it be a good id to see if there are any new updates for the mother broad.

you don't need to re-instill windows to fix this. redoing windows may not fix this at all ether, it will come back in your face later on.

i would looking into mother broad updates, windows update no longer do drivers update ether they drop that.

He might have a program interferring with it too.Mine use to do it all the time in JOTR iwould be on a nade launcher, giving it hell, and it go out.I havent had that issue since i wiped everythng and started back out a clean start.
