image code that works in php?

i would like to place an image on the front page, but it doesnt allow it, i have used all the codes i can think of the image shows in the editor but once i click submit it doesnt show on the main page

any1 know why?

are you using a wysiwyg editor? - I know that on my site I can't enter in html codes directly into the editor when in wysiwyg mode - I have to go into source code mode.

Or use one of the buttons that inserts the image for you.

tried that code, nothing works i was in the html tab when inserting it, but once i click update nothing appears

im trying to place it in the item at the top of the webpage that says welcome

is html enabled? - if i remember correctly there was setting in the admin panel to enable it. May be wrong, its ben close to a year since I have used phpnuke

theres an option for the forums to have it enabled which ive allowed, but nowhere else
