Anyone that flames phpnuke users:

If phpnuke is so bad, then anyone that uses frontpage, dreamweaver or any other html editer to build a site should come up with there own damn work and learn how to code it free hand. PHP Nuke is for someone that dosen't know php, and dosen't have a programmer. It's easy to maintain and update. If you have a flat html site and used an editer to build it, your a n00b & should build your own damn site.

PS, just trying to make a point here, no problem with using any of thoes systems. That's what there there for.

I flame people who use phpnuke because I see too many of it and its too easy to just come up with a site thats using it.

When you make a site you wanna put all your effort in it. This means doing the graphic work in photoshop or fireworks then coding it all in notepad and creating something that you love.

Ofcoure on the way you could take some scripts and adapt them to suit you. Learn off them and make something of your own.

When I make sites that I put all my effort into and then see some other sites with phpnuke it makes me sick.

The point i'm trying to make is that not eveyone has the knowledge to code php or even html in notpad. Php nuke is one of the only full featured pre-built sites. When people decide to build a site that is usually what they go with first, it would take a very long time for them to learn a language to build a site. Specially if it's php-based.

I do agree that php nuke is getting old because everyone uses it but you can't say someone didn't put any effort into a site using it. Just cause they don't know how to build a html site or php site (Hey, maybe there using php-nuke to learn?). They still spent the time adding all the content, making styles (If they made it custom), they just didn't spend the time writing the code, most of the time because they don't know how to in the first place.
