Today i reconfigured a old speedtouch home (tweaked to pro) with a pfsense router behind it.
JO works without any trouble at all.

Can some one explain why the network traffec from JO could be a problem to a router ?????

I think i can!

A router can be a problem due to with having one installed keeps most ports blocked due to it cannot tell which ones are always good. So threfore it blocks incomming traffic to all ports mostly except the ones it was told not to.All game ports from what im aware are blocked by the routers so therefore since it thinks its a bad port or ports it blocks them so you have to do port forward/configure your ports to allow people using the gaming community system online, which would be Novaworld in Joint Ops case,to be able to pass through to your port for hosting and get into your server.

As for if viruses get through to it from that port; it can cause your router;s settings to screw up or worst.

I have never had that happen, so dont worry about it too much.

And thats is what also what i tried and still had that problem.


It looks like there is new firmware ( the update check on the we controll never indicated that !!!) going to give that a try some other time.

For now i have that pfsense router and want to use it it has some nice portal and wifi options and traffic shaping i want to use.

Why do u have them set to both UDP and TCP? It only needs to be on UDP! Thats probably why it hasnt been working!

If u set both the both are redirected to should not matter at all.
but i tried with udp and with set to both.

Its just that firmware is crap

By the way i noticed the words (reality)!Is all the trouble your having for the Reality MOD?

A clean install of JO without any mods didn't work either.
reality is just my favorite

I now think that my connection is to blame for ALL trouble.
Even punkbuster course it was blocking traffic punk buster doesn't like that very much so i got punted.
Loading the lobby was already a problem course none of the icons showed i think that it never finished loading due to the router blocking traffic again ( the game ping ??? ).
