look over see if you have any large file size you may have downloaded from the internet they add-up like demo and so on

Hehehe, may HDD is only 120 gigs. When I do video and stuff I get down to around 60 gigs free. I am not in my TV classes any more so I don't use too much space.

1 x Maxtor 200GB SATA

= 440GB

1 x 120 is for windows and progs/games - doesnt ever get nearly full.
the other 120 is for video editing generally, uncompressed video is a biotch

1 minute = 2GB :/
the 200gb is for everything else i dont burn to disc - music, films, gfx etc, 30+gb of music, 55gb films 20gb of app training videos, 10gb of gfx, 11gb of patches/mods! i pretty much keep everything i ever get hold of.

Ouch, you backin that crap up? That would suck to have the HDD crash on yah and lose all of that...
LOL What prog you use to edit video? I use Premeir but it doesn't take that much on raw video.

yeah my backup HDD did crash... :/
it took me 12 hours to recover 1GB of data! i went nuts but everything is ok with the drive now, i cant figure what happened, i'm guessing some nasty virus or something, but i had hundreds of thousands of errors on the disk.

its so much more convenient having things on HDD though, i have around 600+ CD's of other stuff, but i would much rather have it on HDD, despite the risks

video editing, i use after effects for special stuff, sony vegas for putting things together, then i export the whole thing as uncompressed and then compress with virtualdub

vegas is ok, its really easy to use, i guess its easier to learn that premiere, but of course then you can do less with vegas

Not sure though.

I probably am never going to get 100 Megs FULL.
