Set up group voice without any other applications - just run Xfire. No special clients or voice servers to run.
Organize raids, coordinate your CS team, or plan a rush in your favorite RTS.
Choose custom bandwidth settings to give you the best voice quality without impacting your game ping.
To initiate a group voice chat room, invite some friends into an Xfire group chat, and then have someone go to the Actions menu and select "Host Voice-chat". That's it.

you don't need TeamSpeak or any other live Voice chat software application to use now Xfire has its very own now.

no more need of:
Team Speak
Ventrilo
Roger Wilco

many can join into your host server when you playing in a game area or outside it.



even give you contour of the speed to set it to for your type of connection you have.

ive used xfire a few times, nice program, only problem is if u download a file, u become a seeder (uploader) after awhile and if u dont notice it can secretly use up ur bandwidth

xfire is by far one of the most needed programs when it comes to call of duty series, its such a great program, but i would never use it for downloading... and the same goes with the talking, i am used to teamspeak or ventrilo, they barly go down, but xfire is known for updating, not likes thats a bad thing, or restarting their servers randomly.

XFire is a gaming messenger, it will track people's online play so that you can monitor activity throughout your squad.

It shows what server they are in and what voice server they are on as well. So it is very handy, all it needs now is offline text messaging like icq and yahoo.

i use xfire... ive heard however that the teamspeak option is only good between u and 1 other person... is this true?

Xfire will active it to.

you keep track of other members in your xfire if they are in TeamSpeak or Ventrilo (i have both instilled) you can instant join in their server chartroom in 2sec, without searching for them, getting IP number or names of their server they are in.

you see names listed, you right click-on their name and select what you like to do, it in the option you can select from.

TeamSpeak you can have a whole group of people in it, in the host server other wise it is limited by default.

a host server for it cost money same for Ventrilo unlike Rogerwilco it is totally free to host or join in a host.

gamespy are partner of it. but it work both ways Rogerwilco can be use to host or join other hosted voice chartrooms.
