Belkin’s Newest Gaming Product is Powered by Razer
Razer infuses new technologies into the Belkin n52te, making it a professional grade speedpad
Seattle, Washington – October 04, 2007 – Razer™, the world’s leading manufacturer of high-end precision gaming and lifestyle electronics peripherals, today announced the ‘Powered by Razer’ initiative, and showcased the Belkin n52te speedpad at the World Cyber Games 2007 Grand Final in Seattle, which was developed as part of the program.
The Powered by Razer program is an initiative reflecting Razer's commitment to work with computer industry partners who are interested in obtaining the edge in computer gaming hardware. It extends Razer’s industry-leading gaming technology to businesses globally, by allowing interested partners to license Razer’s cutting-edge technology in their gaming products. Similar to the ‘Go Pro with Razer’ program which is also community-driven - developing new talent for the gaming industry by helping aspiring gamers become professional gamers, the ‘Powered by Razer’ initiative underscores Razer's commitment to invigorate and consistently bring new products to the table for the gaming industry.
“Even with the ‘Powered by Razer’ initiative, Razer will only consult on products which we are certain will enhance the gaming experience, as we stay steadfast to our gaming creed ‘For Gamers, By Gamers. Products bearing the ‘Powered by Razer’ symbol are premium gaming products, which come with the technology you would expect from a Razer product,’ said Robert “Razerguy” Krakoff, president of Razer. He continued, “The Microsoft Habu gaming mouse and Reclusa gaming keyboard are also powered by Razer, and we are delighted to welcome the n52te into this elite circle.”
“As the leading gaming accessories manufacturer, Razer makes an ideal partner for us as we return to the gaming arena. After listening to the gaming community, we found that our award-winning n52 still stood to be improved. And now, by powering its successor, the n52te, with Razer's powerful on-board memory software, we are introducing a stronger and even deadlier SpeedPad,” said Chris McGugan, VP of Product Management, Belkin International.
Razer embarked on this initiative to help industry partners and gamers expand on the fast-growing gaming community and make it stronger and more dynamic for the benefit of the gaming industry and community. With the ‘Powered by Razer’ program, companies interested in gaming can work with Razer to meet the needs of competitive gamers in order to reach the upper echelon of professional-grade gaming products. Licensing Razer’s expertise in gaming has worked well for Microsoft, who tapped on Razer’s innate gaming knowledge of what works for gamers.
