So would NovaHQ
I'm back now EE... Send me an email if you want some help trying to transfer maps.. Depending on how the databases are setup it could be very simple to do.

Well, I have brain Drain now..lol..
We have lost data / maps / members dating back to April 2008. I lost 20,000+ members, but after a marathon effort with "Edit Plus" those missing member logins have been restored..thank God for "Key Press Recording and multiple playback" !! If you haven't been able to login to DFB, please try now. Member registration is still disabled for now. Most of the files that where restored by Freaks where corrupt, so I had to upload my backups over the old ones. I'm still doing that right now for the download section. I'd still like to incorporate the DFB Database with DFR, which is also xmb forum based, but AB has modded the old 1.6 version for DFB, and ours is a 1.98SP2 version...there's a huge difference.. I've had a little success trying, but I'm no coder. So, Scott, give me a few days to make sure DFB is running correctly, and I'll make a new backup, then I'll upload a copy for you to look at. Cheers Craig EE

No, I lost 20,000 members from middle of the tables.
We have no spambot control at DFB, so most of the new members are bots.. LOL.. Also, here's a question you maybe able to shed some light on..I have an email on this I sent to the host as well.. The MapBD coverts the sceenshots, so, if a member uploads a bmp, the code will convert it to a jpg, and resize it to 320 x 240. It then deletes the original from the temp directory. This is not working. Here's what I wrote to the host.. --------------------------------------------------------- Looks like we need this installed somewhere.. http://www.imagemagick.org/www/download.html I have some php code that resizes images, that doesn't seem to be working.. // Full Path to identify .. $identify_command = "/usr/bin/identify"; // Full Path to convert .. $convert_command = "/usr/bin/convert"; We have been getting this error when the code tries to resize an image.. Warning: exec() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/dfb/public_html/mapdb/mapdb_functions.php on line 1542 Line 1542 is exec($cmd,$output,$rv);, which is where it executes the command.. Could you see if these commands are available to us, and or install it and give whatever permissions it needs to run. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Don't forget, I'm not a coder, but pretty good at maths.. Craig

That's crazy. For my site I am using the GD library. I wonder which is better.

imagemagick is probably installed but the function to run system commands in php (exec) is disabled. That is the norm for shared hosting.
