Sniper Scope Zoom Problem

I can't get the sniper scope to zoom in or out with either the key board or mouse controls. I've tried everything to get it to work, but nada. I have this problem with both Joint Ops and Xtreme, but not with Land Warrior or BHD. I'm presently using a logitec mouse MX510 and have tried other mouses with no difference in all games. I end up playing BHD the most because everything works.

At All?? Even though there's magnification buttons for it like [ and ] ? Are you sure that the sniper scope is static and totally different from the variable scopes of BHD and Land Warriror?...say it ain't so! Why would NOVALOGIC be so cruel?! WHY!??

in bhd there is no variable zooms. there is a one strait zoom with a elevation change

after they did a update last one i think it was they disable JOTR sniper scope and made it a host option to enable it, for their server (Novaworld) its been disable to many crying about there are more snipers then fighters in the game. i think it should have been auto set to new maps load-up.

in real Army at lease the infantry squad leader tell you what job you will do not what you like to do. you maybe a driver one day next be a sniper and so on if he really like you, you'll be a point man to lead mission into search out the other groups or you may be in a re-con team mission to search for the others bad guys.

only one that don't get change is the combat medic they only do one job and thats is saving lives and prolong lifes to send them to get to the field hospital in the rear.

i use a M4 sniper rifle in the service they don't have a real zoom in scope at all 8x and it was never that great hitting targets with a lot of my buddy gone out and pay for a zoom-in scope (deer rifle scope) to mount on them, don't think the army would pay for something most of the time they are cheap when it come to get things for weapons.

Yes there are, you can toggle how much it's zoomed along with the elevation.

Let's review the facts so we don't get side tracked. The main fact is that there is a variable scope that zooms in with the mouse wheel and height adjust with the ctrl + mouse wheel on BHD.

The question is, is did novalogic disable this feature in JO and extreeme? If so why are there still references to these functions on the keyboard and mouse mapping? Why don't they work in either single player and multi-player modes?

Since this tread is going in circles, I decided to e-mail novalogic and tell them about this thread. Hopefully they will respond soon with a clear answer.
