Script to keep track of email communication?

Just wondering if any of you guys know of any scripts that will facilitate and keep track of email communication...

Ive started a online shop with a mate whos on the other side of the country, and it would be useful if we could log in, see what emails have come in and what has been said...

Use a webmail function? And make sure everything is saved? Or if you have acces to it, let the mail program automaticly bcc it to a email of your choice.

And if Newton Faulkner's voice can be described as "R&B" then Kurt Cobain must be a member of Boyz II Men.

Text message would just complicate things more lol

Your first suggestion Katana is what we are doing now, though peoples tendancy to delete previous correspondance make searching through sent items a bitch. I was hoping there was a script that would see the order number or some identifying feature, and create a linear page with the message back and forth...

Might have to try myself, though never used php with mail before...

The best way would probably be to do what ici suggested. Connecting to a mail server with php can be tricky though, but not impossible. I've done it and transfered the messages into a mysql database.

You can use support style tickets with ID numbers so every new message goes under the same "conversation" and is moved to the top and highlighted every time a new message is recieved.

It would be a nice sized project. Maybe hotscripts.com has some sort of system for this?

Why don't you add LIVE CHAT while you at it as well?
