Windows 7

the reviews look great but the windows 7 beta download is a nightmare
i cant even dowload even though i have 3 legitamate keys...
the demand for the CUSTOMER PREVIEW is so great servers
make you wait or appear to wait as maybee they are slowed to a disasterous hault... maybee cause customer extream dissatisfaction with vista that they need a repreave (somthing better)
i say lets everyon contact thier government elected all of them and demand a law making windows XP a STANDARD OS and micro soft to continue updates and sales for all etternaty...yea every one please rally with me yea...

Wow take a chill pill ;P

I don't see the point of this thread, if its 'different' to a general windows 7 thread. If your point is to get people to stick with XP, then thats never going to work.

Operating Systems are evolving, just like everything else in the world. XP is an out-dated operating system. Sure its good for now, but when new technologies start taking over, where will it be then? And you can't say that they can upgrade XP to work with new tech's, because thats pretty much the same idea as creating a new OS.

Sure Vista got a bad start, but its been updated, and most of the errors i hear about now are for individuals, its not a common fault accross the whole OS. People used to say setting up a wireless network was dreadful, but Vista has been updated, and (apart from hardware update issues), ive had no problems.

So your point of keeping XP as a 'standard OS', will never happen lol.

I downloaded it in about 20 minutes... you can also find it on alot of torrent sites. Just get the beta code from microsoft's site and then find a torrent for build 7000. Personally I think Windows 7 will be great, better then Vista. There are many more small enhancements to the OS that make it alot more user friendly / easier to use.

Yeah, i think people need to get over Vista's release.. even that has become a good OS in my eyes. Everyone dwells on the past too much ;P

I heard the same crap when XP came out. People were telling me not to get it because it was worse than ME. So I got ME instead, I ended up exchanging it (thank goodness circuit city let me). I love XP, I don't really have any problems with Vista....it runs great on my laptop.
