Burning a dvd

Im burning an image with magicISO, and it says the burn is successful. But when i go to open the disk, it either takes ages to read it, or tells me that its empty, but has been finalized.

What is the chance that the disks im using are causing this problem? Because they are pretty cheap disks.

Also, my dvd drive doesnt open when i press eject, but then when i try again, it works.

So maybe i have a faulty drive? but it reads 'official' disks fine.

try mounting the image in daemon http://forum.daemon-tools.cc/download.php

install and reboot, then run dt or it might be in your systray. right click on the icon in the systray and set virtual drives to one and the go to it and click mout image, search for the image you downloaded and if it loads the cd then your dvd drive is facked.
