u need to choose the colour that u want to be transparent.

try making it bright green or something that is not part of the design.

then go to colours>colour transparency

set the colour to the bright green or what ever u choose to be transparent.

i rushed a lil but u might know what i mean. if not i'll give more details

Pure CQB? Coolies, I will have a look.

Does Ps Pro 7 have a gif animation section?
If you are making the gifs and then animating them in another prog. then this could be your problem. A lot of the third party cheaper gif animation progs handle transparency really badly.

Here is a tip. Make a 2x2 gif in the colour of your site and set it as the background image, it should repeat and is such a small file that it wont affect load times. The when you do your animations, make their backgrounds the same colour as the 2x2 background gif, and they will appear as if they are transparent.

OK I know that the animations wont be transferable to other sites but it will look good in the meantime.

The reason why you mak a mini gif that is the same colour as your animated gif, (given that you are unsure about the action for transparency in PP7), rather than setting the color using the command BGCOLOR=#ffcc66 (or whatever) is that IE definesd color a little different from PP7 and so on and (particularly if someone is not viewing in 32bit color) often the differewnce is notable.

Hope this helps. I use Flash for animated Gifs, and PS6 so I cannot give any info on how to use your program.

id say 2x2 is too small after doing some research. although the file size is virtually nothing, the comp still has to render the whole page, ona slow comp this will actually slow the page loading process

even thought the background on my site is 2x1 lol

but its a very good tactic to use something along those lines

Very good point there SB. never thought of that before. After reading this post i looked at PS i realized that a plain black square 1x1 inch is only 20 bits larger then a 1x1 pix image (pure black)

And saving the 1x1 pix image under max quality it was a smaller size by 5 bits then when if saved in low quality!! Found that really weird! Try it out! Take a 1x1 pix image and hit save for web (jpg) then change it to lowest quality then back to highest and you will see the byts get lower when at highest quality lmao.
