if you notice - most of the players complaining about claymores are noobs to the game who think they can just run around like if it were quake.

im not one of those military geeks who cares so much about how it was in real life and it should be the same in the game, no offense to anyone. but i bet in real life a soldier wouldnt run like a rambo right into the enemy base. they would run in groups using teamwork and make sure to secure the areas they are in.

thx for all the replies!

another thing i'd like to clarify:

i agree completely with you on that. it's just that i forgot to mention that i play mostly DM and didnt think of bases/PSPs...

but i'll never accept clays in armories.

ps:
i'm neither a noob nor a quaker, i'm coming straight from df2, and there wasnt much with clays, so i'm still not used to them

I am with you Gunney.

Clays are a part of this game and war. While this is a game it is also a simulation.

Cheap kills are M60/FNmags with to little recoil more so than clays.

Keep aleart and fear for your life and you will have a whole new attitude for the game

Now it takes more than spraying and praying. It takes a lot of practice to be able to gun. Trust me, I should know I'm in your words a "spray and pray king".

Oh, btw, I don't have any problems with clays.

Maybe I was a bit to general in my original post, because I meant in no way that everyone who uses the M60 or SAW sprays and prays. But not everyone who uses it is a surgeon either. It happens.

yep they`re great
with starting to snipe i found they can be used very tactically.
not just as protection(warning signal)layed out behind you but,
what about this your on a ridge you can see someone heading 4 ya but if you lean over to far the sniper on the other hill will take you out.?
leave a clay, move to another spot when your enemy reaches the spot you were in shoot the clay and whammo you got him even though he was zig zaggin all over the place.kinda like detonating a slam lmao.

But if a gunner goes way far out just to kill you, wouldn't it be better if u leave him there and make him run back? It takes a lot more time than to kill u then get clayed, or the snipers that have a slam/satchel under themselves. You doing the person a favor sending them back to their respawn. I think you shouldn't lay slams/satchels because while he is running back your team has an advantage.

i agree trilogy team games are different tactics again m8
maybe that`s why we luv it 1 game so many variations
nothing i like better in a team game than keeping a few of their gunners busy.maybe because snipers used to wind me up

hell if he kill you or knife you get some of them points back
1.) Claymore maybe he get kill by one there's 1Pts back.
2.) slam/satchel after he kill you asap respawn and blow it fast now there one 1pts back.
3.) you may get a headshot with a claymore seen it happen.
4.) slam/satchel lets not fore get them tunnels run in them with it at ready you run by one of other team drop it run a bet more blow it up if he stand there like a fool in the area he ask for it.

why give them points when at lease you get some back
knife 3pts get back at lease 1pts he walk away with only 2pts.

blow my mind when players die like crazy given other team points without thinking about it.fight smart kill more of them then you die play it smart your team wins in the long run only a fool die's

with the new friendly clays thing yo could lay all four facing out at four compass points and lie on them.
Then even if there is a spawn delay you got the knifing monkey.
