Ok, here I go. I think this is becoming a big problem. It is not the "spammers" themselves it is the people who think it is their job to tell people to stop spamming.

I personally am getting mad about it. This is a bulliten board and if two people are disgussing something then it is not spam!

Spam is when you continually post the same message over and over not when you go off topic. Honestly these boards don't have to be 100% on topic.

I have seen many admins that have posted seemingly off topic questions or comments.

If anything is driving away people and creating hostilities, it is the people that think it is their job to tell people what to do, even if they are not staff.

This is a forum to disguss things, so why not do that?

The spam is quite annoying here sometimes, not on every topic, but on some of the interesting topics it's sad they get spammed. You ath are just a quilty as anyone else here. I've seen many topics where you spam, or make an of topic comment. It's part of the forums.....

the member moderators is an issue that is being worked out at the moment, personally any post like that i just delete, even if its got valuable content in it, but im not on the lookout for it per se.

It is like some stranger comming up to you while you are in the middle of a conversation with someone else and they say to you "You talk too much, stop talking." First off, it is none of their freaking business and second they have no right to tell you that.

yes member moderators are annoying but we're workign on that (jk) anyways spam is annoying, but you'll find it on every board, and i agree that some people should stop going "stop spamming" when people post ideas that come off of that topic i don't exactly consider that spam (not that i'm an admin or mod) but some do, and that's annoying (unless it's the admins, or mods, then i respect it, cuz their the owner/operator) ... my 2 cents

Right, I completely understand if an Admin such as Mike, Tril, P, Steve and Troj says "Lets try and stay on topic." Instead of closing the thread or saying "STOP SPAMMING" like some people are doing.

the posts were removed to make it easier for us to see what spelling mistakes were, so i removed posts about nerdhq, a smily, a random comment and something else.

personally i find it annoying when there is a decent thread but we have to read a load of nonsence to get to important stuff or stuff that someone is trying to point out.

off topic stuff is seen as spam by some, but even if it's not in the dictionary definition is annoys a lot of members and we do receive complaints about spam and off topic posts.

i agree that this is a discussion board but it's not a replacement for a chat programme.

This has nothing to do with that thread. It has to do with a ton of people whinning about spam in the GFX section and other sections.

I am just saying maybe if a topic goes off a bit that doesn't mean it needs to be closed. And just because someone posts 2 or more replies in the same thread doesn't mean it is spam. As long as the posts have to do with the same things.

At no point does Luckz become the "thread starter that is spamming " as atholon states it, but it goes off course with BdD-Ares asking for Luckz to marry him and then we get about 4 usless posts of nonsense.

So from what i gathered from your post its ok for you to go around and others to go around spamming, but no one can tell you to stop? Thats complete bullsh!t.

It just cracks me up that you are complaining about people trying to stop the spamming but yet over 75% of your posts are spam. If you can spam, we can tell you not to spam.

BTW you could consider the GFX posts spam. All they say is Good Job, NICe, Aa, I don't like the font.

My posts are at least more than that. Have you tried looking in the general chat forum?

I do see where it gets annoying when there are like 2 pages of spam but going off topic a little and especially when the thread starter joins in... I see no problem.

well ath if i remember correctly there was a post of urs i deleted today, the one where that Squad Wars trailer was posted...one post said "downloading now...." then a while later there was one that said "Nice." or something like that

just little stuff like that would cut down significantly on spam

I don't see how that is bad "Downloading now" I was letting him know that I was going to watch it. It would be helpful if someone knew that someone was looking at their work.

Theres no way to solve this problem except to take it upon ourselves to watch what we post and make sure to type a good whole'some sentence. Ill agree to end the "STOP SPAMMING" phrase, if those few spammers coulds please keep it on topic and not post several posts in one topic when not needed. Its fine to say, "Great signature, or video i love it, great work." and be done with that topic. We dont need repitition posts, to tell the designer, or whoever great work in different ways.
