Comanche 3 - Hidden modes

This site deals with video resolutions hidden in the old Nova game C3, the problem with all OLD Nova games is that they are difficult to play on our new monitors, this site may offer fans one way to deal with it, includes stereoscopic mode, that may be worth looking at, I'm trying to boost my video resolution to a resonable 1024x768(17") or even 1920x1080.....yeah right!!!!
on DF2 or TFD etc etc.

This afternoon i tried this:
open the df2.cfg (DF2), dflw.cfg (dflw/remix) or game.cfg (TFD) with notepad. Go to the line that looks like:
game_res = x
where x is the screen resolution. Change it to:
6 for 1024x768
7 for 1280x960

I'm not sure of 1280x960 really works because here the game crashes or i only see 1/4 of the game screen. But this can be because my display doesn't support that resolution.
