eek I think this is truly amazing!!!!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/4425176.stm

To think that veterans from World War 1 are still amongst us and that people are racing ti archive their memories. These men must be made of iron to have lived this long!!!!

World War One will soon to cease to be an event in living memory. Of the millions of men who fought for Britain, just 10 survive. Their average age is 106, and this year is seen as the last chance to make a record of what happened to them almost a century ago.

What a wonderful find BadDog!

My Uncle Ronnie B he die there WWII we never know were his body or if he was lay to rest at. its real sad these men in at war time battle.

some ways game make fun of them all.

you get shot one time and if it a hit in the arm and lose it or head you don't respawn you bite the big one.

some ways games are not real life, but we have to remember its a game and not real life. and there no winners in war at all, both sides lose love ones.

omg... i saw a program the other night, and they were interviewing the oldest living survivor of the great war. U could see the tears in the corners of the guy's eyes, and he said that he keeps himself strong every year, but as soon as someone asks him about it, he cant help but become overwelmed with emotion.

i was really close to tears. i have so much respect for people like him... they are the real heroes of this country... not some cricket player or football player that gets the winning goal or wicket, its the men that stood for what we believe in almost 100 years ago.

i have talk to two people when i was growing up in Calif San Jose 1970s, i seen this guy who live next to us. he too was upset to when even talk about it WWI & WWII, i was in the service US-Army in Germany there was a Hebrew who was a POW going to the gas chamber, but the Americans save him, he own a hotel and still live in Germany. he had them marks on his arm too. never for get it, the old man was like in his 80s then i was like 34yrs old then. both cases they were not happy it a no win at all. seem all war time vet get really sad when they talk about any war time history that they was in.

its easy to see people get kill in movies/news and game type, but in real life it something that will stick to you and if your best buddy was the one who got kill it even worst.

some of my buds are no more do to action we were sent out to do, all their family know is they die in line of action. 1977-1987 26ea people i known are dead and it hurts that will never leave me ever. it not easy to block their faces out! but when some ask about them or bring it up, their faces and wound they got jump right in. flash backs are a bitch no lie.
