Typhoon rising question...

I am trying to get my Typhoon Rising game running on my sons new computer. Loaded the original disk and uploaded game. I went to novalogic.com and updated the game. I can now join server, see the games hosted, but cannot join... I get an error that says not running current version of the game. Is there 2 versions of same game? Why? How do I get current verrsion? Can I get version compatible? Please help, I want to show my son x-box aint nothin.
