With that image..
That is some corrupted file of the game..
Try installing the same game [same CD/folder] in another computer..
If that happens again in the other PC, so is NOT YOUR computer !!!

I have tried installing the game from the same cd on another computer, and the problem still persists. I know it's the game that is causing the problem. I can't run mission irene and then this colored dots. I will try that packing thing once again.

Sounds like it's the disk. I had a similar problem with my DF1. Several of the maps wouldn't load and the terrain geometry was all messed up. It could be that the disk is scratched...

Is it just that or a few missions?
Rebuild the mission from scratch. Using terrain mods in that mis? etc... try building a new map and see what happens
