son of a, i changed my mind bout the 20rnds, if i found 10$ i would buy some sparkplugs for my vehicle.
havnt drove it in a few days for it was spring break from collage, it pitched a fit that friday and got parked that evening, and now it wont even crank just keeps fouling the plugs.
checked the wires, distributor, coil and they are all fine.
checked the plugs and they will spark everywhere but where they are supposed to, even brushed them and used som electrical cleaner to get the carbon off.
guess i wont be going anywhere soon.

were the spark plugs oily or dirty, could mean you need new rings

nope, just hada black fuzzy carbon buildup on them.
and hasnt even got 20k miles after rebuild yet.
checked and there is no blowby so rings are seating good.
no put put sound from exaust so valves are seating good.
no blue cloud so not burning oil.
if it was running good and after driving 10-20munits i pule the plugs out and it had the same buildup it would most likely mean that the engine was running rich.
and if they was a bright wight color(kindof a bleached color with a glzed surface) it would mean it was running lean.
rich im not to worried bout , but lean will melt holes in the pistons.
but as it is it wont even turn over good b4 it fouls them out.
i checked the plug that came out with another plug i had that i knew was good and the 1 that came out of the engine wasnt sparking all that great, while the 1 i knew was good did pretty good.

ok, had some plugs, so far i have changed.......plugs,distributer,distributer cap, rotor button, plug wires, brainbox, ignition coil, ignition resister, put a guage on it and got good compression..
checked the timing it is where it is supposed to be, aint got any crosed wires.
next order of buisness is to see of its the solinoids in the carburator, so ill just swap the entire thing with 1 i know is good, other than that i aint got a dang clue to what it is .

ok last off subject thing.
ya know what it wa that was causing all that trouble?
a dam itty bitty pinhole in the vacum line that goes from the intake to the metering valve that is inline for the choke.
had to take the line and bend it and look at it under a light just to see the hole, but it was just enough to cause a vacum drop in that part and to cause the choke to not release.

arrg.

You mean one of those change machines where you dump the money into it and it gives you dollars or something?
