If a .50 caliber sniper rifle is shot through the water, how far in feet/inches can you be under the water and not get killed by the bullet if its coming right at you?? (theirs only 1 answer )

Hint - you dont really have to go that deep...

that would have to depend on angle and velocity, i guarantee you that if i dropped a .50Cal from my hand 2mm above the water into the pool, you could just a micron underwater and it wouldnt hurt you.

Shooting directly down, i has it a guess about 6 or 7 feet and at an angle 3 to 4 max...

depending on the angle, it wont go in the water

or

you can be anywhere in the water for it to not kill you, just wound you

you cant shoot a whole sniper rifle into the water, just throw it and it will only sink on you.

what kindof round is it? and how fast is it going?
the type, weight, velocity, and dementions has a big factor in how far it will travel thru the water.
there are many rounds that are used in the .50 sniper rifle, like the S.L.A.P round that stands for Saboted Light Armor Penetrator, then you have a 660gr bronze round, and then ya have the API rounds, there are many other rounds cant remember them all off hand.

it doesn't matter what round it is, for each round how deep, and the hint was "you don't have to go that deep"

you can't fire it underwater,i think. It needs to be watertight like the APS u.w assault rifle, water could get into the breach,or whatever im guessing
