xbox - xbox360, ps2 or ps3?

My friends are fighting for PS3. Supposabley it is supposed to have better GFX / Controls / Etc...and this will probaly be true seeings how it has had Microsoft go first, so it can see what people hate about the Xbox and fix it in theirs. But imo I find that there are more shooters and a more multi player friendly scene in the xBox and 360.

i would suggest to anyone for the 360, but at this point of time, i would not buy one. Wait maybe another month or two for one. They have been having lots of problems with them. And besides, the only game i like for it is cod2. ive tried out quake 4, perfect dark and a couple other games and i really didnt like the. quake is not made to be a console game. I dont think i am gonna buy one until h3 comes out.

Well, I think I heard something on the news on a website some time ago saying that
the HDD in the Xbox 360 is more expensive than the Xbox 360 itself and Microsoft would have got more money or something about them being sued.

yea i was looking at games prices yesterday... £40 in the uk!!! i never spend more than £20 on a game lol.

the way i see it, is even if these early 360's DO have all these problems people are listing... surely they'll bring out updates over xbox live?

i've had a 360 since launch date and nothing has happened to it. The only reason some people's are crashing is because they are letting them overheat. the power cord is like a frickin brick and it needs to keep cool.

get one of thoes laptop coolers from wal-mart for $20-$30 and set the block and xbox on it..

my m8s just got one of those for his laptop, hes pretty impressed with it (laptop coolers i mean).

yes you can play your older games on 360 but you have to buy the expensive 360. the $400 one. $300 one does not hold it.

spazz, you got lucky on yours by not having trouble with it because there have been tons of recorded 360s screwing up. There should be no overheating in the first place. Microsoft knew that when people bought them that they would be played non-stop for a long time. especially the first couple of days. Kids are gonna stay up days and nights playing :P. But i dont see how :P

it's a very powerfull system. It's expected to get very hot. if the ps3 dosen't have that problem it's probably because they are taking notes right now.

most of the people i suspect are playing around other hot stuff (tv, dvd, stereo, heaters etc) or putting it on the carpet / enclosed entertainment center which is a great heat conductor.. although ms should have tested it a little more with normal household conditions.. but I think the laptop cooler would solve that problem as most run off a usb port (without any drivers, just as a power source) and the xbox360 does have a few of them.
