Just 30? You're planning on going cheap aren't ya? Mine's going to cost upwards of $50K. If you do the military, it doesn't matter how much you do...Uncle Sam pays it all for you

What you going into again?

Mine is $40k plus flight lessons. ($10k)

It is a lot cheaper but not as highly acredited at the community college.

Political science and public relations...the extra PR classes don't cost much extra...but then again, it is a highly accredited school...degree from there is as good as gold everywhere. Only thing better would be Ivy League

The flight school I am looking at is Embry Riddle which has been suggested by a lot of pilots that I met at the airport when I worked there. It is supposed to be #1. I also hear that SLCC has a really good flight program and the tuition is $1,100 and $8,000-$18,000 for training.

Wow. I'd like to get my private pilot's license, but it's not a huge priority.

It is for me.

I sent 'em (Embry Riddle) an email to see if SLCC credits transfer there. I could go to SLCC and earn a buttload for tuition down there.

There are a ton of flight schools in Utah.

Sounds cool Mike. One thing thing that certainly wouldn't be out of the question for me is foreign relations, possibly ambassador. I don't want to be a politician, but I'd do that

Sounds good guys. I know it's hard to stay motivated sometimes but hey, you just have to do it. One foot after the other, one obsticle at a time, one day after the next. Tell yourselves you can do it and stop at nothing. Pursue your dreams. You become the person of your own creation. Make your mark. Be humble, flurish and prosper. Always think before you do something unless you can take the risk, heh. Believe in something greater than yourself and strive to be great. You can do it!

I wanted to be a teacher or an interior designer or a floor planner of buildings.... but two months in a public daycare ruined me on being a teacher... no schools in my area for interior designer and i still dont know about that... and one year in a STRICT drafting class with a STRICT teacher ruined me on floor planning... right now i am going to school for web site development... one year down one more to go... still dont know EXACTLY what i wanna do but thats a start... computer knowledge, college certificate cant look bad in the future no matter what i do i guess... :s

Yes, but it's a different brand of politics- the kind I like. I do not, in any way, shape, or form, want to be a congressman or the president. I'd have to really feel strongly about the point to even consider either of those.

I'm just saying that I wouldn't rule that out. I won't be seeking it, as I think that would be a waste of time. If the opportunity presents itself, fine, if not, I'm set anyway.

My passion is making people think what I want them to think, which is why I'm so drawn to public relations. I can't explain the thrill I get from it. It's better than jumping an 80 foot double on a dirt bike...

Because it will make you a better man/woman in many ways. Plus it's working the system like the system was created to work. Some people just don't get it, don't want to get it or mentally/physically can't get it.

That's average...you don't exactly get great handouts for being average. Besides, you learn a lot in the military that you can't get anywhere else, such as actual leadership, coolness under fire, plus a backup trade, just in case. Plus, I'm sure a master's degree in something like war is pretty well taught in the military

EDIT: You go ahead and do that Mike

Cool

I guess I did what I wanted to do in the Civil Service at least when I was in it we tried to help people.

The Army is something I would recommend to anyone, it gives you a sense of value and self worth plus you get to be part of a team and there is always someone to stand by you when things get tough.

I guess electronics is and will continue to be the fastest growing sector of the job market so it is essential to have a knowledge of PC's and what can be done with them.

Regards and the very best of luck to those of you about to choose or embark on a career!!!!
