I added ''10'' to every gun recoil in the game to spice things up, and some very small minor edits lol.

I confused myself with some kit weapons by accident lol...silly billy.

Fixed that up, made some slight changes here and there, made some tweaks in the stock maps. Then i went over to BF42 and tweaked the Battle of Britain map. Before, only about 10 109s and 2 Junkers would be attacking British land. Now, after my changes, we've got 15 109s coming at us and 5 Junkers bombing the hell out of everything. IT WAS INSANE!! Dogfighting extravaganza.

I just played Deep Jungle mod for BHD and I screwed up on ''Hidden Plant'' lol.

Basically my loadout was G11, MP5, and Rocket Launcher, and the default loadout was OICW, M12, and C4.

Unfortunately, I didn't know I had to use C4 to blow up the three canisters in the mission (before I had the rocket launcher and two rockets would blow one canister).

And fark the mission was a killer... lol.

Well, if I had the OICW, I wouldn't need the Rocket Launcher because I would have grenades, lol.

Been recently tweaking the .bin files BTW.

Just been tweaking the map strategies of the stock maps. Havent been doing much with weapons and vehicles since i feel that they are awesome. Wait...might have to have a look at the landing craft controls...

Did another major rework of the BFV NVA/VC kits. Seems that the bots aren't too good at using the MAT49 and Type 56. They shoot and kill people, but not as well as any other weapon. So this is experimental.

howdy there, havnt been doing much with me game cept trying to find the dang spawn timer, i think my ai guy got shellshock or something. we get into a firefight and some of them just stop in their tracks and stand there not shooting and looking confused and then they just run at ya with a knife and ya have to shoot them, lol.

The time you have to wait before respawn?

What else would it be?!

For now I'm trying to edit the .bin files for Flashpoint which will contain great stuff for modding. I've used two programs that unsuccessfully ''decrypted'' the files, so I asked someone else to see if they can do it for me...

Erm...if it was a normal respawn, it wouldn't be in the normal game files. It'd be in the map files. And it would be called 'SoldierSpawner' or 'ObjectSpawner'.

THATS WHAT IT WOULD BE

Gonna have another look at infantry weapons. Bots still use rocket launchers against infantry a tad bit too much.

Made a fix with the Cobra heat seeker missiles (with thanks to the ones who gave me the info). The heatseeking missiles would spawn too close to the aircraft itself. 90% of the time the missile would scream off against some targets, but the other 10% of the time, the missile would make contact with the Cobra, inflicting some damage and making it really annoying. So i changed the projectile spawn position. No more suicidal cobras!

lol, i got a handheld stinger missile i mad out of the eryx, prob is it will get your guy too so watch ya aim, lol

Haha, confounded heat seekers!

Some strange things been happening as i try and make BF42 bots fling grenades at enemy infantry...ive got it at the strength the same as a K98 rifle grenade (which they use vs infantry fine), but still refuse to throw it. Might have to increase the number till i see some use.

i cant find the spawn timer anywhere, have looked in just about everything in my game folder but still cant find it, it aint even in the map or objects spawner files.

Oh, you mean spawn timer as in, how long it takes for everyone who's dead to respawn? I found something similiar to this in a file called 'SinglePlayerAxis/SinglePlayerAllied' or something along the lines of that. That file controls how many tickets each team gets and such; including the next wave respawn.

But its probably different in BF2. Dice has most of this game hard coded.

I've brought the SKS56 (commonly known as the Type 56) back into the game. Despite the tests i carried out and my theory, the bots use this weapon pretty well.

It'll be enough BHD tweaking for me for now, lol.

However, I'm working on an Operation Flashpoint project where soldiers will talk like bots...

In OFP Mauser, you know how it'll show subtitles to the left saying ''ROGER THAT'', ''ENGAGE SOLDIER'', etc? I'm trying to add some custom strings in there as if it was someone typing it in an online game, so they'd say ''HOLY !@#$!'' etc. And those custom strings don't need voice, as typing online doesn't bring out voice!

Right now I'm just editting the ''en_chat'' file for Counter-Strike 1.6, which holds everything bots can say in the game!

HAHA! I made this mean-ass resource for the LW MED!

Basically you know how you get the unlocked LW MED? Well, that unlocks stuff, but I went into the ITEMS.def for LW, and saw that THERE WAS HEAPS WAITING to be unlocked!

Everything with ''NoTool'' or ''//'' in it meant that it would be hidden from the MED, so I made Notepad replace anything with ''NoTool'' or ''//'' with... nothing!

Now there's ****loads in the MED now lol. But there is some stuff that's null (invalid), but it'll take TOO long to see what's valid and what's not.

A comrade at the BFSP forums managed to fix the RPG7v bot problem. At first some of us were skeptical of his claims. He said that they were using the RPG7v fine, but were neglecting it on ours. So he lent me his codes, i looked at em and converted them into mine and voila. Just like that the bots are magically using the weapon just like any other. Much to my surprise. I looked through and compared both objects.con files and found no difference. Yet his code makes the weapon useable by the bots.

Although, i could have missed something...
