Please help to find a MED version
Please can someone post a link or attach the dfbhd med version that doesn't show DFBHD TS items .. i tried:
2.00 2.00i 2.00h 2.01 2.05b 2.05c Original all of them show dfbhd ts items .. even if i don't have team sabre installed. Also with DFB down, mappers need to search all over the web for something.. (DFReload is with a bug, i can't download anything or even login). Thanks, Luis.

They may show in the list but no image should show in the selection panel
If they do show up then you may have the TS PFF's Columbian BodyGuard 1 2 and 3 should be blank if you have the correct pff Last edited by Guest001; 08-28-2012 at 05:24 AM. |

you have to have DF: bhd-TS install to get them item out of the pff file to use in the med, the med read the pff files
novalogic, inc pff is copy right! if i recall right DF: BHD-TS even thou it a mod of the df: bhd they sell still there is a under handed way to get the pff file if some friends live close to you that have DF: BHD TS install you could copy the pff file, but you can't play on DF: BHD-TS servers thou, you be add it to DF: BHD other would not see item in the map who don't have DF: BHD -TS mod or PFF files in their folders! there is good and bad going this rout thou

I Use DFBHDMEDv205c you can do an "integrity check" to make sure all is well, use it in a fresh install.
I only map in BHD not TS |

I only have a few BHD posted.
REASON: The player dies with no respwn so it's tough to get things how I'd like...I'm working on a SP, TDM and COOP revamp of rooftop down, a map I made in 2003 when I knew nothing about mapping. It sat for 5 years before I found out I could upload it, I didn't know about the communities, Nova did't advertise enough here in Australia so it was years until I bought DFX2 and found out...so here I am. |

From the drop down menus at the top left Go to <Tools> <Integrity Check>
This checks that what you have in the map is in the PFF, it will scan and give you a list of incompatible or null items. You select them and they show up in the map as red crosses. Delete or change them to usable items as necessary. |

What I've done is to install BHD into a separate folder, basically a second install of it. I've renamed that folder BHD, and I did not install TS. By doing this, if you were to put a TS piece onto the map you're making, it come out as a red star, which is a good visible warning to delete that piece. It's worked very well for me for years. It also allows me to use any med I want. I use the 205c version exclusively.

I map almost exclusively in the consumer MED, usually running it with my RelapseMG or BtDMd120913 mod. I edited the items.def in those mods, renaming every item to improve the item listing order, and to add the NoCTool attribute to unusable items.
Every map I ever made starts as an SP map. It makes construction so much easier when you can:
Code:
if ssnalive 10000 then ssnhp 10000 32767 endif The only time I use an unlocked MED is if I need to add the play part animation, want to change respawns or fire time on the AIs, or add AND EDIT hidden items like tracers, satchels and claymores. Adding the /showall tag to the consumer MED's target line will allow you access and insert NoTooled and NoCTooled items, but you will not be able to edit their attributes. I don't like the unlocked MED because the items are listed by .3di name, and there's no rhyme or reason to the listing. Also, if you want to change an item to another item by scrolling through the Sub-Type drop down list in the upper right corner of its Item Attributes, you have to scroll through ALL the items in the unlocked MED, which I say again, is a very haphazard list to scroll through. Also, the .log and .ifl files the 5c makes are practically useless (So don't pack them with your maps, they are not necessary for play). I just think the 6b MED is more convenient than the 5c, despite its limitations. Last edited by Baldo_the_Don; 09-17-2012 at 04:08 PM. |

Also, I should test drowning. Update: Nope. Drowning will still kill you, even with 32767 hitpoints. But I was playing around with this: Code:
14:17 18.09.2012 ================ Health regeneration .wac: if never then set v1 health endif if lt health v1 then set v2 health then inc v2 then ssnhp 10000 v2 endif So you start a mission on normal difficulty, your max hp is 100. If you save the mission, then go back to the options and change it to Difficulty Easy, your max hp is then 200, but if you load that last save game, the health will not regenerate past 100. Or if you go to Operator difficuly, you're only supposed to have 50 hp, but it'll climb right up to 100 if you load that saved mission. Last edited by Baldo_the_Don; 09-18-2012 at 08:09 AM. |

Baldo, do you have any SP maps out on the market? I've gotten in the mood to create one lately and am looking for inspiration.

I don't have anything ready to go, no. Especially if you don't have Team Sabre. I'll attach something, it's got TS items, but it's not only epic, it's epically buggy.

Adjust breathtime and gravity
These work long enough so adding ssnhp as well should make the player Godlike. //GRAVITY No Kill if never() then fallmps=30//can be adjusted for partial death or full immunity to gravity endif //Breath Under Water if never() then breathtime=99// the higher the number the longer you last in water, 30 is default I think endif |
