The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
If you like reading about people surviving under a communist rule, this won't disappoint. |

I last read the last book in the Sword of Truth series, Confessor. It was a happy ending, much like I expected (like most stories have), but it was still a somewhat unexpected ending. It was a good ending to a fantastic story. The Sword of Truth series will probably be my favourite for a long time. The last few books before the final one seemed to be kind of dragged out, as if the author had a contract to write so or so many books. But, it was a good read. I read it out in under 24 hours, so I guess you can pretty much say that that book had my full attention until I was done reading.

Now I am reading The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco and I like it greatly. It is a detective with the elements of history.

I have just finished the Lemony Snickett books (Series of Unfortunate Events).
Yes I know they are supposed to be for youngsters but they were good fun. I also watched the film, unfortunately I was a bit disappointed with it. p.s. Anyone interested in dwarfs and elves ect.... The Dragon Lance books are a must read. "The war of the Twins" and "The Test of the Twins" are my favourite two series. |
