Jumpy Wireless Keyboard and Mouse

I just bought the Microsoft Wireless 5000 combo, and the mouse and keyboard are really jumpy.

The mouse is jumpy when moving across the screen, and sometimes it doesn't even move at all, and the keyboard misses out most of the keys im typing.

Ive tried moving my reciever away from my monitor incase that interfered with it, but no change.
