first thought, CPU is socket 939, mobo is Socket AM2, so will not work.
maybe choose a case that doesnt have a PSU to save some money, or to enable you to get a better case without a PSU. you will be ok with the onboard sound the gfx card is not too hot. but basically if you are only upgrading at christmas, there is no point in priceing up a spec at this time. by then you will be getting a different mobo, cpu and gfx card, which are the main things ![]() |

also make sure you read reviews.. like on the mobo someone said they had probs with anything but 1.8V memory.. yours is 2.0V which could (not saying it will) cause problems..
i'm only at $1,150 and I have a AMD 4600+, Nice 19" 5ms Monitor, and x1800xt graphics card.. I think you need to spend more time on it ![]() http://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/...Number=3471725 Also Socket AM2 is a good idea as it will be compatiable with AMD's next gen socket AM3.. And unless AMD comes out with something cheap by christmas I could probably lower myself to sb's level ( ![]()

actually they dont give a flying schmuk, they saved up $4000 for my new computer, told me that if i dont get any Fs or Ds on my report card that they'll buy me a new computer... they go to the local computer repair shop,(they build computers too) and got me a cheap peice of crap for $1100.
and btw my specs look a little similar to his. |

They will try to con you into not Microsoft update are crap and other thing to not use updates for it, they will help you with support. Only they only like to make you happy and pocket the money. Some will even give you some other software to boot only they are pirated as will. Reason it will not be the real deal and Microsoft will know if it been pirated off too. When you try to update and they will tell you so. That was 8-13 Pc repair shops I been to

dont go over the amount that uve got totalled at the min.. (3 months l8r there will b sumthin better, or dropped in price)
only thing id say u should reconsider is the gfx card, most decent 256MB cards will out perform 512's (sounds with but its true), and id also go with nvidia.. (i have 3 pc's with ATi, and they all have atleast 1 problem with gaming.. (im assuming this is 4 gaming since ur spending so much?) i bought mine for about £1500 2yrs ago.. still works gr8 and will last 4 ages (i no longer use it 4 games that much) only thing i can say is sata is ALOT of bother at times.. |
