Is this a GOOD Server?

Is this a good server and please tell me how many people MAX could join? Thanks.

CPU: Intel Pentuim 4 - 3.0Ghz
RAM: 1GB DDR RAM


I have 3.0MB DSL Internet Speed.

So how many people could join and play at the same time. And another thing I got a router and 3 computers are connected too. Mine, Brother's, and my dads. So?

yeah upload is the most important thing..

also you do realise if you want to host then you cant use that PC (possibly even that connection) for anything else..

hmm, id say you will be able to host at the most 20 people on BHD.. that could be pushing it, but if you host and want to use the connection for anything else.. it just isnt going to work

also i just noticed you said theres 3 pc's using the same connection..

forget about trying to host a game for more than 10..

Oh ok. But I can overclock the CPU up too 3.6Ghz Processor Speed. Thanks anyway.

that has nothing to do with how many computers are on the same connection though...

Dump yahoo...go for Time Warner or comcast...6-8 mb's down 1 up..

u can probaly host about 10 when ur brother or dad isn't on, but when one of them is, it's just gonna b a laggy server for anyone other than friends close by.

dont think that would make a difference, especially for BHD

with a slow connection like the 1 he has, if it was a 10mb up and down for example, then it would be fine, but splitting a 3mb in 3 = 1mb, and splitting the 430kb in 3 = 143k upload..

if one of the users starts playing an online game, it will automatically add lag to the BHD server (guy in my squad has a 10mb down, and 500k up, when his son starts to play DF-x online, it starts to lag him up..

can i ask what age you are? if ur earning money.. buy a server, one that you "host and play" just isnt going to work out in your situation, unless you can get that connection for yourself.
