day from hell

I really am having a bad day today and yesterday for that matter... Anyways to top off my day today, after I get everything working, after throwing my router against the wall, i was playing in the inside of the server computer and somehow a fan dropped and fell right on the graphics card. It's not damaged but one of the heatsink pins broke off leaving the heatsink off the gpu which will make it overheat. So I had to come up with something quickI found a little clip to clip a pin I found back on. What a day..

I'm trying to find a better way to connect it.. but so far the clip is holding on. My new card comes Thursday along with another 2gb of ram for the server

ya it can, there is an epoxy called, JB Weld, ive used it in the past its so strong i even used it to fix the berring housing on a 1hp electric motor on a bandsaw.
dont cost much and its a 2 part binary so ya dont have to worry about it hardining in the package.

Do you think it's safe though since there are little buss lines very close to the pin thats holding it on? There is only like a 2mm space there. The only reason i used that clip for now is because i dunno if i wanted anything (liquid-like) to touch them and i dont want to turn the pc off just to fix it.. on 6 days strait now, going to see how long it stays up.

a steady hand, and a toothpick, or use the tip of a exacto blade, had to do the same thing to another part of a computer before or something that if i had touched something close to it, it would have damaged it.

best to wait at least untill I have my other card handy.. Going to see if I can whip something else up, ill use liquid-based stuff on a last resort.. it's only a $35 card but the last 2 weeks have been very expensive and christmas is just around the corner.. glad I get a big refund on tuesday or i'd be in some sheet...
