PC reboots no warning..

Hey guys my bro's pc has recently started rebooting for no reason.. The last time he was playing a single player game.. The first time he was playing online bfv and he made someone mad and then his pc rebooted...

ever since then it just restarts for no reason at all... no warning it just reboot's (windows doesn’t go through the reboot process it just shuts off..)

I have tried everything I could think of..

Virus scan
Adware/spyware scan
HD defrag and Sector fix
checked bios for over heat reboot option (it didnt have one)

and a few other things..

This is getting on our nerves especially when we are playing games together...

any ideas?

also check out this thread:

http://www.novahq.net/forum/showthre...?threadid=5293

this used to happen to me alot also.. I honestly think it has to do with the volts going to the cpu and/or ram.. Also think it has to do with the ps not giving a steady current..

once i replaced the ps to a bigger one (Now running 500w), and upped the core and vcore volts in the BIOS the problem is gone.

I have fixed 3 freezing/rebooting computers of my own like this so I can't think of any other thing...

Same here. had 2 compacitors blow on the board, 2 others swelled up and almost blew.

Also, my friend had this problem. Turned out to be that his video card was overheating (fan came loose or something like that).

try to see if the The GFX card has any new driviers release, it maybe new to you but there still maybe new drivers for it.

what is the make and stock number of it, be sides who made it.
===========================================
by the way if the system crash? OMG do a scandisk check to fix any error even if it not list any at all do it.

its a must do thing:

start>Run> type in: chkdsk /F /R C:

[if you have more then one HHD hookup leave the C: out]

a new windows will come up press Y-Key hit enter, now restart system.

this time it will do a scan of the HHD and it will double check it.

reboot:
1x) first time it will do scandisk and fix error.
2x) it will double check it and give a clean message.
3x) it will restart system back to desktop.

you may get a message system has crash need to send a error message to mircosoft about it let it do that.

its small it does the job well and its free can you ask for more?

http://www.ccleaner.com/
you know what i think you and your brother ran on both your system and deleted files the system needed even if they was temp files this could be making you have trouble now with rebooting. system is crashing.

sorry only way to fix it is re-instill windows back in. you can re-instill windows without redoing HHD by the way. you would need to UN-instill all the updates first then reinstall windows after that point.

CCleaner it can put them files back it remove can't it?

nope it started happening way before that its just gotten worse..

it has something to do with dx9 i tried reinstalling and it didn't work.

if you send in the error message you may get a notice in 1min back with a fix for it. gee it do help a lot.

my "Nero InCd" use to give me a error a lot hell the system would crash, but after windows sent in the error message to microsoft a new box pop-up telling how to fix it. basic it send me to a page [Notice had a link in it] i gone there and read what i needed to do to fix it.

next time send the error message to them. you may get shock totally may not be a virus or the game at all. it could be something other.
