yes, another hosting problem

Linksys BEFSX41 router with latest software version..both computers XP PRO..XP built in fire wall disabled..IPX installed on both compters..

Steps taken:
enabled forwarding for port 17478 with both TCP and UDP enabled with the static IP of the computer I wish to host. Enabled DMZ HOST assigned to the IP of the computer I wish to host. (even tried the MAC address)

Problem:
Server will post on Nova World server page, other computers unable to get past "loading mission from server" screen.
Same problem when trying to host within my network.

I have read every forum and post known to man kind..with no luck. And the funny thing is, I am a Lan Administrator with both MCSE and CCNA certs..lol

Cool have same...

i went to linksys site did search for "hosting a game" and followed the setup for the Tribes2 game. just follow what they do exactly and when u get to the part where they enter the "IRC" just place Landwarrior there instead using the landwarrior port 17478. thats what i did and mine works.

go linksys site..then support..then knowledge base..and type in the search box "hosting a game" and follow the setup for Tribes2. i had the link here but when i posted it didn't work so u'll have to go there urself...

I have a Similar Problem!

I have a Similar prob if not the same!

I can't enter through the internet in the DF2 game i have hosting in another computer in my lan, but everyone else can enter! I've tryed everything, and still no results, i'm not certified in any kind of lan but,... i've tryed !And onother wierd thing, when i'm hosting sometimes, ppl get a huge CI and fall, but the server keeps on going, and when ppl try to come in again, i have 2-3-4 links for my server in Novaworld Lobby! I don't get it!? What happens!? I don't change IP i've checked that out, i don't know what happens!

Oh, I have a router, a ZYXEL 650 Series!

If anyone can give me a help with this i would apreciate.

It is probably two things.

1) look for a firmware update for your router and apply it. That should fix the multiple listings at NW. You port number is probably changing (by the router's nat).

2) for joining your own server add it manually using the internal ip of the server rather than picking it off the page at nw.
