Scratching my head on this one???????

Hi Guys,

Well here is my delima, and yes I have tried searching and tried EVERYTHING with no avail.

I have the following for dedicated server.

DELL Dual Pentium 4 3.2ghz processors
1024mb PC2700DDR Memory
40 gig hard drive
windows 2000 pro
delta force BHD
800mhz front side bus
gigabit ethernet card
Linksys 4 port router

Think that is enough, lol.

Okay I have a connection of 350 to 380 kbps upload speed and 3.5m download.

This is a dedicated server and I swear we can play about 10-15 minutes and the pings shoot to 60 grand and everyone is kicked, EVERYTIME. I have limit to 16 players, TDM, and have set the dfc.cfg to 0 max ping and even tried raising the ping to 3000 and OVER. I have configured the DMZ host on the router, the 17479 port to accept UDP and TCP and probably everything else you can think of. Man, if someone has an answer, I would be forever in debt.

By the way, I talked to TODD at NovaLogic and he said my connection was not fast enough Geez, if it requires a faster one, then I give up. Nova, the land of dont know s*&^

ask todd what the speed you need to upload and download to host that many players and whats the best connection to use for it.

also i seen other people hosting players doing it online in the public area you should look for them there and ask be faster.
with that number of players in their game area they are hosting,can't hurt any.

TODD is an idiot. He could not even pay attn to me, he was too busy playing the game

Anyway, a T1 is not much faster if any than what I have. It is utterly rediculous. GOTTA be novaworld. I had a buddy of mine host tonight who has a T1 and it did the same thing. Geez

Anyway, I believe I have fixed the problem for everyone, THROW YOUR ROUTER OUT THE WINDOW. Tried 4 this morning after coming back from Office Depot with all in hand. Nothing worked, took the router off, added my switch and 5 dedicated ip address's and BAM, no more trouble.
