ALT+TAB is not working. Screen will still display BHD, but I am in windows itself, I know more people have same problem. Any1 knows how to solve this problem?
AMD Athlon XP2000+ 512MB DDR 266MHz GF4 nvidia 128MB DDR Windows XP Pro Newest VIA Drivers and Display Drivers. I think it's a AMD issue here.

For me, it works fine. But I DO have that problem with Battlefield 1942. I just hit crtl-alt-del, and it brings my cursor up. Hope that works for you.

ok from what i have seen only people using windows Xp have this problem - regardless of other components in their comps.
the only fix i know of is to have the game running at a different resolution than that of their desktop |

WOW, that worked fine.......kinda weird I say. But it does work. Running desktop at 1024x768 and game @ 800x600, ALT-TAB works for now!! Problem solved

it is very stupid indeed.
in a lot of games when this happens i am unable to return to desk top at all, including ctrl+alt+del, alt+f4, alt+ esc and the only thing i can do is pull the power this is most annoying when my firewall decides to let me know that the game wants access to the net/LAN and i cant get out of the game. it doesnt happen with all games though :/ and some games have more res options like ghost recon where i can have 1280 x 9?? rather than 1280 x 1024 |

We also had this discussion in our forums! Here is my advice and what I learned...
I found this at novalogic.com. It is interesting, I will have to try it! PROBLEM: I cannot task switch (ALT+TAB) out of Delta Force – Black Hawk Down. RESOLUTION: When running DF:BHD under WindowsXP, you may experience problems task switching (i.e. using ALT+TAB) if you have set your game resolution and color bit depth to the same settings as your desktop. You are advised to either choose a different resolution in the game Options menu, or change your desktop resolution before running the game. Alternatively you may choose to run the game at a different bit depth setting than your Windows desktop. We do however recommend that you run the game with the bit depth set to 32 bit, and therefore suggest you switch your desktop to 16-bit color. If you don't plan on task switching in the game, then these measures are not necessary. I tested it and it works. I set my monitor to 16bit and left the game at 32 and I can once again alt+tab out of the game... One of my squadmates simply said, "Don't use the Alt + Tab, use the windows key!" Hope this helps! www.rebelgr.com
