A new game engine? (Physics)
Hey everyone,
The Delta Force games have been around for a very long time. I was quite impressed with the new releases (Such as Joint Ops, DF-X) But there's always something missing. Body / Object physics. "Ragdoll" physics has been around forever (i even remember physics in a 1995 PC game called "A-10 Cuba"). But, for some reason Novalogic has never implemented any kind of physics in any of thier games. I mean, in my opinion, a game that doesn't have this system always feels "incomplete". Call of Duty 2 is a great game that i just got, but i'm extemley disappointed that the game still uses animations. I mean, the fast paced movies they make look so un-realistice because of the animations. I really think the whole "BlackHawk" engine that Nova's games use is just obsolite. I mean, with the netcode in BHD your ping would never go under 250 MS in most cases (horrible by most game's standards). What's your opinions?
