Problems with LAN multiplay

I like to do Coop play and DF2 seems to be the best for it. I only have a few problems that I have never been able to solve.

Except for the player that created the game, all the rest of the players get "choppy" enemies... meaning that when the enemy moves, they seem to jump instantly from spot to spot instead of smoothly running along. When the enemy stands still, this is not a problem. (very aggravating for snipers)

Also, again not a problem for the creator, when the enemy is kneeling or prone they appear to be standing. I can shoot them in the head and chest and even get blood spatter but it has no effect on the enemies health. If I shoot at their feet, where they are actually kneeling or lying down, I kill them.

and, yes, I have VON turned off.
