Serious Game Glitch

I can't even play the game. I get huge masses of black blotches that move and dissapear, and I can see through walls - I'm not even able to tell where I can go. The game is completely unplayable at this point.

When I first bought the game, it was fine. But after not playing it for awhile, (like a month, maybe), everything has went haywire. And it's the same on single player or multi. Also, it boots me off of the servers right away, too. I have a high speed connection and have no problem with any of my other games.

I've updated the game going through start menu and accessing the 'update' feature in my novalogic program. But I haven't updated anything from the novalogic website, under 'general updates.' So does it make a differance if I dl the update at the nova site? Because I just thought it might be the same update.
