Connection Issues in Jo-Ops Full Game

Just been checking out NovaWorld Forums and found that a lot of the yanks are having problems playing on line! It appears there are two problems.

1. Players connecting by 56k dial-up find the game is virtually un-playable due to "warping".

2. Players find that they cannot connect to Servers to play on-line. Latest suggestions are to not install Punk Buster. This allows on-line play, but not on Nova Servers!

Can any-one give more information on this? I'm stuffed, as I am stuck with dial-up. (living in the sticks!) If Punk Buster is going to cause more problems than it's worth, why go to the trouble of putting it in the game?
