What happens when your video card overheats...

Well, let's just say it's not pretty! Usually you will get alot of wierd colored lines and wierd spikey things - but this time it took all the textures off everything and looked kinda cool

ahaaha....

yea mine overheated once...but it was like 80 degrees in the house and my ac took a poop ..... but my computer just shut off...

got a better heatsink for it and it was good after that...

Lol - if i touch my video card right after i turn my PC off, it's so hot i'd burn myself if i didn't promptly remove my hand.

I swear it's gonna melt! I'm going to have to see something about better cooling.

I'm running a Radeon 9800 (Non-pro) 256 MB and it's at 324 Core / 290 Mem. Which is not overcloked - I tried overclocking, but it just gave me problems

Confused

As I understand it overclocking can do more harm than good so it's not recommended.

lol thats not good.. i haven't ever over heated mine i blew it up once it smelt really good (NOT) smoke start billowing out of the case ect..

I have a good fan on mine plus I don't overclock it that much, it messes your video up before it gets to that point.
