What's happening to the monitor?

What's happening here? The singular vertical blue line and bubble like appearances are increasing since October 2024. It's a 21 year old monitor, so i get it that it's time to upgrade it. But out of curiosity, what's the bubble like thing? I couldn't get anything on the internet about this.

Looks like it might have gotten wet or possibly some delamination? Maybe some old electrical component corroded and reacted with the screen? Weird

No chance of getting wet. But here's an update on the progress of the deterioration. Water bubbles to roots.

it had a long run but seriously, time to get a new one. your eyes will need to adjust to that new monitor also.
