problem: join LAN hosted game over the internet
Hi!
Me and some friends wanted to set up an server with JO:E 1 of them did so we made a VPN connection with each other with the free tool called Hamachi . Made a username, and a pass. S earched up the host. And started JO:E, going to LAN games.. Clicked search and joined the game it found. All goes well for me.. but the 2 friends of mine got disconnected from the net for about 1 minute. with the message the networkcable was plugged out. This also happens when the hamachi tool isnt used. Why does this happens and how do we fix this problem? earched the web several times but didnt find a thing about this. Thnx in advance for the help Yours truly, LijpoNijN. |

The network plug is the Cable plugged into the back of your CPU. This gives Internet access to the computer. When you get this error, it means that their Cable/Internet has gone out or that they cable was unplugged. Make sure they have the cable in the computer, securely, and also make sure that the line is not being tugged on. If the line is tight, make sure it is loosened up. It is very easy for the plugs to get yanked out.

Question:
How do I configure my router to play Joint Operations Typhoon Rising? Answer: If you are simply going to join multiplayer games, you shouldn’t need to change your router settings. If you plan to host games on NovaWorld, however, you’ll need to assign your computer as a "DMZ" server (thus allowing other computers access to your server) or allow inbound services on UDP port 32768. Here are example steps for configuring a Netgear ProSafe FR114P firewall/router: (If you require help configuring your router, please contact your router’s manufacturer.) Start up Internet Explorer and type “http://192.168.0.1” in the address box, followed by your name and password (“admin” and “password” are the default.) The router’s settings page should then be displayed. Click on the “Services” option on the left and then select the “Add custom service” option. Name the service “JOTR”, set the type to “UDP”, then set the start and finish port to 32768. Apply these settings and then click “Rules” on the left-hand side of your screen. Under “Inbound services” select “Add” and choose “JOTR” from the list of services presented. Set “Allow always” as the action. Then put your computer’s IP address for the “Send to LAN server” field. WAN users should be set to “Any”. The “log” setting can be set as you see fit. If you want players to be able to see the ping time to your server from the game server list, you must check the “Respond to ping on Internet WAN port” option. Apply these settings and your firewall should be configured to allow you to host Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising. |

This is a possible solution for router or firewall users that are getting code NWEC15, NWEC16 and NWEC17 errors.
You will need to open ports 32768, 49152, 64206, and 7597 (all UDP, not TCP ports) in the port forwarding ranges. You'll also want to make sure that you have the latest firmware updates to your router. |

What you need to understand is you're introducing yet another piece of protocol and software to complicate an already grave issue.
Have you guys tried w/tout using the VPN? |

Just going on the internet the normal way is going good..
if that is what you ask. Its just the way we do it when it is ging wrong with those 2 ppl is when they hit the search for LAN button the cable is virtually plugged out.. didnt fully unsderstand your reaction so hope this is a good answer |
