New DFX2 Script Editing Tool
I'm making this tool online because the internet gives some handy properties to use like memory space, expandable panes, lists, good old cut and paste and more.
It may also be possible for it to work as a standalone Windows App in .hta format. Needs to be tested. I've been using HTML for website editing for about 6 months now so with some of the tricks I've learned from that I have been compiling this... Try Out The Tool Here http://stompem-web.enjin.com/workshop Any comments and suggestions or submissions for additions to the Tool are welcome. ![]() |

Doesn't work as standalone, but you can still bring the files together on your Desktop using a batch (*.bat) file anyway.
IMO The online capabilities these days are just a bit quicker in this instance of usage. Used it myself already. ![]() Oh well. |

I found that a hyper text document launched from a self contained folder in Widows opens the browser offline safely...I think???
Does anyone know a command to open a browser in offline mode? I was working on making it a gadget but ran into a size problem and lack of support for desktop gadgets in W8. They still work in XP Vista W7 I'm not giving up on the idea of making it an exe but I'm just self taught with all this stuff so it may be a long time. Anyway the thing is now to get more data in there. More! more! more! Any unusual or older scripts anyone would like to add would be much appreciated. |

I used it myself and even though it's far from complete, it was still useful and easier to use and less confusing than switching views in windows. The recall tool can hold heaps of data and being able to re-size the assembler window was also handy. I'm now working on getting images of various editor settings into the tool that are just too hard to explain but a picture paints a thousand words. |

Stompem: got with my guys at ASUSTEK (programers) there is a FREE program on CNET.COM that will convert any html program to a stand alone exe. program. It's called HTML EXECUTABLE. Just go to CNET and type in that name. read the info hope this works for ya.

Thank you that's awesome, I'll have a look.
![]() I've thought about the problem and tentatively concluded I would need some form of script. C++ VB or something like that to get it to access a read/write database and the RAM. I'll keep you posted. ![]() |

Hi MAJWIZ
![]() Ah yes, I'm planning on trying out more than just one program compiler. I've assembled a PC with a bare bones W7 OS and an "Offline" browser. For monitoring purposes the test space is configured within a carefully secured LAN IMO it would be pointless to test run these sorts of things in a virtual machine or sand-boxed because of various technical reasons you may well know of. I assume I will need all files referenced locally so changes need to be made in the original HTML. Also struck a bit of a wall trying to assemble and make instructional comments for all of the scripts I can think of. Meanwhile I've been creating an incremental variable that resets abandoned COOP maps ![]() Last edited by Guest001; 09-04-2013 at 01:54 AM. |

Yes as far as I know there is in the weapons def file but don't ask me how.
![]() And just in case you may not realize it you'd better make sure you change back to the default one before you play on-line. I think if you play on Nova servers with an altered def file you get banned. |
