Dont forget to put the /d command on your shortcut.

Dont forget to put the /d command on your shortcut.

This was with a BHD map. Anyone know why?
Is it to activate a Mod?
I know it is used with MEd executables but didn't know it was needed for the game executable.
Is this just for certain versions of the game or all modified versions?

If you want to use .bin .cin .end .wac files in a map you need the /d in your shortcut. An example of a map you need the /d is the Russian Woodpecker map you played. Put the /d in the NSO mod shortcut and play that map again, you'll see the difference..
Ex.
NovaLogic\Delta Force Black Hawk Down\NSOmod.exe" /mod NSOmod /d

Hope this helps.

OK I did do that in Woodpecker and all was fine, didn't know the other map was a mod, it didn't say so. Don't need the switch for DFX2 bin files as far as I know, so do you know the specific DF games that need it or is it Modded only?

I know BHD and JO uses the /d command. Prolly Comanche 4 too. I'm not sure about other NL games... They prolly do...
You can use the /d with with or without a mod. All /d does is makes the game look for for the files I listed above.

Ah! Exactly the answer I was looking for. So it wouldn't hurt to apply the switch to all of them anyway just to be sure. Thanks tony991, it's very good of you to answer each time, I really appreciate it...
